Rock ‘n’ Roll Musical Instruments and techniques

Rock music can be easily identified by its beats, rhythm character and energy. Rock is in 4/4 time with heavy beats being 2 and 4. Rock is considered more as rhythm than melody. Though an old soul like me, has a “special bond” with this genre of music and have love and respect for the “The King”.

Most Rock Music incorporates Pentatonic scale, a bare bones scale that comes from Blues music.

Instruments used are main vocals, backing vocal artists, Electric guitars, double bass, drums, piano, harmonica, and saxophones. There is fast music tempo(140 beats per minute or faster), energetic and thrilling vocals (sometimes involving screaming and shouting). Music is based on 12 bar cord structure.

Elvis Presley: Albums

Would not like to share that “The King” breathe his last on August 16, 1977 in Graceland, Memphis TN, as he still lives in hearts of his fans, forever!

Rock “n” Roll can make a come back, it only needs, able leadership of a good band, energetic and melodious artist, supporting music lovers and right settings. There of course is a decrease in artists making popular bands.

However as saying goes “Old is Gold” it may make a powerful comeback in near future, as audience always welcome….. change!
