It was end of year last year. As a continental food enthusiast, I quickly finished my meal and was looking forward to open my fortune cookie note. To my surprise, first time in my life, last winter I got blank fortune cookie note!

Never in my life since I started liking and then loving my continental spicy food I met with such a surprise. As I am a firm believer of luck, destiny, signs and future predictions, this was certainly an indication from above of something dreadful, in the near future. Said that, we are well aware as how year 2020 started for all of us. Unprecedented year full of sadness and grief.

Test of mankind to fight unseen, unheard and survive! Find out solution to first understand the whole scenario and then find solution to fight and protect defend yourself and your loved ones!

Fortune cookie is a crispy, mildly sweet cookie made of sugar and bleached flour, flavored with vanilla essence. It is folded and holds a stripe of paper with a one line prophecy or quote printed on it. They are supposed to be the inspirational quotes or predictions. They may be funny or with some wisdom and have depth. Some believers like me, tend to take it seriously. For some people these are just for fun and for the sake of remembrance of a sumptuous meal they had with friends and family.

I was introduced to them may be around quarter century ago in Pittsburgh, PA. I used to collect those pieces of Wisdom and Quotes in a scrapbook. Reread them and believed them.

Today when we are standing on verge of a relief, in the form of life/humanity saving “Elixir” , a magical potion developed by multinational pharmaceutical giant, I had a celebratory refreshing and spicy meal again and once again I opened a fortune cookie with following paper stripe. And you know what — I am going to believe it again:)

Fortune Cookie Note (12/11/2020)

These are one of the famous lines of Hymn Text Writer Shirley Erena Murray (1931–2020):

May the rainbow always touch your shoulder,
may the moon smile kindly on your dreams,
may the touch of the sun and the rain kiss your skin
and the star of blessing bring you home.

May the company of Christ and the rising of life
keep the wonder always in your heart,
keep the wonder always in your heart.
